Find it strange that this is rated badly. Yes maybe they could be more tourist friendly and put up a show but this must be the best tapas I had so far my 10 days in GC. That counts also Las Palmas and Fatága. This feels like an original place and the food was for once original and tasty! So if you are a food lover and don't need the circus - go here!

This restaurant was recommended in a Berlitz "pocket guide", which had been on the money previously. Unfortunately, this time it totally missed the mark. Not only is everything overpriced and undersized, but also less than appealing to the palate. The so called "slow cooked goat", which is apparently a local speciality, seemed to be more beef and liver than the gamey fare advertised. Would have thought a stew would come with bread, but that was extra. 3 euro extra for a couple of dry pieces of sliced bread. 60 euro for two small plates of off cuts and offal, half a carafe of house red, 2 small bottles of water, and the bread! Not worth half that!!!

We are well aware that random restaurants in tourist towns aren’t always the best, but this definitely takes the cake. Tapas were disappointing to say the least and the menu was very badly translated with confusing descriptions. “Variety of cheeses” turned out to be a pile of mediocre cheese slathered in oil while a “paprika spread” manifested itself as five teeny tiny pieces of bread with unidentifiable toppings. At least I got two glasses worth of wine in one glass so I could attempt to erase my memory of the food.

We are happy to spend €60 on a good meal but this felt like a rip off. What we ordered was not worth the €55 we paid. €6 for 2 small waters con gas. €12 for 2 small pieces of homemade cheese. The other dishes we ordered were very small in portion. No side dishes available. They couldn't offer any vegetables to accompany the food. We left feeling hungry and disappointed. We took a walk to the local Spar but it was closed. The food was tasty but we do not recommend this place based on our experience and value for money.
